STEP 1.   Download the latest source code of WINE. The WINE source code can also be downloaded from WINEHQ
STEP 2.   Unzip the source code in a folder - say WineSource.
STEP 3.   Open the terminal window.
STEP 4.   cd WineSource and press .
STEP 5.   cd tools
STEP 6.   Type ./wineinstall and press .
STEP 7.   Follow the instructions as displayed.
