Code and Comment Formatting
User Tips and FAQs will be added to this page on a regular basis. Please visit this page frequently.
Crystal C/C++ automatically formats the code and comments in a file:
when you open the file
and also while you are editing the file.
Comments that are at the end of statements or declarations are moved to the comment-field to the right.
As a result, you will see a comments-column to the right.
You get an uninterrupted view of the code sequence.
In addition:
Indent-level of braces is displayed in the comment-field.
In a declaration's comment-field:
angle brackets < > are inserted to enclose the meanings of objects that are being declared.
Use the Format Settings card of the Options menu to indicate your formatting preferences:
Use the Tools or Project pull-down menu to reach the Options menu
